Brock Oglesby

Brock Oglesby... Remember the name. You'll probably be
seeing it, and hearing it again in the weeks and months to
come, even though he just turned 15.
No, he's not a Spelling Bee champion, although he's an A
Student. And although he tips the scales at just over 100
pounds, he's not an up and coming Thoroughbred jockey.
Oglesby is a different type jockey, wrestling a 2,700
pound Super Late Model race car around the asphalt with the
best of those twice and even three-times his age.
Still a year away from being able to get a drivers
license, Oglesby has long had a license to race and the
trophies to prove it.

The Anatomy of a Race Car Driver
I was asked by someone to write a story about what it is
like to be a race car driver. So I thought I would give
you what I think is the Anatomy of a race car driver.
First you need to understand what racing is. Auto
racing is the showing of one's human competitive nature,
while operating a machine. Let me explain...
Have you ever rode in a go-kart at a public track or
amusement park?( if you haven't, you probably should not
be reading this) Your competitive nature takes over and
you drive that go-kart like you were at Daytona!
Competitive nature is in all of us, we all want to
win. I have always said, "Anyone can drive, we all have
the ability, but when you take your common curiosity a
little too far, and get in a racing kart, motorcycle, or
race car, then its all over."

Xtreme Fantasy League
Wesley Mills holds the lead for one week and takes the
plunge along with Dale Jarrett. Billy Register in his
second season with the league takes over the top spot
for the first time and goes into the fifth race with
Dale Jarrett. John Boyer is the first player to pick two
winners this early in the season and he done it in back
to back weeks. Hmm, wonder if he knows something we
don't know. League owner Ronnie Bacelo has moved two of
his picks into the top ten, his picks are in the 7th and
10th positions. No Bull players Tom Raiser and Corey
Crisafulli have gotten headed in the wrong direction
16th and 22nd respectively. Harrisburg's Gerry Cook took
a steep fall in the standings with his Michael Waltrip
pick for Atlanta. Naple's hotshoe Scott Kleiber is
making a silent move to the front advancing 24 spots in
the last two weeks. Players you need to watch this guy!
Late Model Stock standout Ryan Thigpen making his move
to the top taking an 8 spot jump this week. Former All
Pro Champion Billy Bigley Jr gained several spots this
week and feels that T. Stewart will be the man to beat
this week! Let's see how right he is. Barefoot
Motorsports also made a move to the front gaining 8
spots as well. Oscar Holmes and Rob "Bonehead" Elting
seem to have taken over the tail end of the field. I
wonder if someone needs to tell them that "LAST" pays
nothing. Goodluck to all players this week as we head
into the 5th race of the season.

Bonehead's BottomLine
How Do I Become a Racecar Driver?
So you want to be a racecar driver? Well I will tell ya.
The first thing you will need is lots of money!
.......... However you can get it!
That's basically the way to become a racecar driver.
Buy a car and race it at your local track. The days of a
long lineup of car owners are way overshadowed by the
long line of wannabe racecar drivers.
